Scanotte: facts and prices

Verifiable information about Scanotte, Minibon’s QR code generator: what it does, what it costs, and what it doesn’t do.

What the tool does

• Free, unlimited static QR codes, no account needed: link, Google review, WhatsApp, Wi-Fi, business card (vCard), e-mail, text.
• The generator on the public pages (link, Wi-Fi, vCard, Google review) runs in the browser: nothing is sent to the server. PNG and SVG export.
• Editable (dynamic) QR codes: the code holds a short Scanotte address (/r/…) that redirects to a destination you can change any time, without reprinting. Types: link, Google review, WhatsApp.
• Short links: the same redirect without the pattern, with an optional custom name (3 to 30 characters).
• Multi-link pages: a title, a short intro and buttons (menu, bookings, Instagram, reviews…), editable at any time.
• Statistics: scans per day, total, last 7 days, device, system, approximate country, an estimate of the number of people, clicks per page button.
• Privacy: IP addresses are never kept and no cookie is set on people who scan; link previews (WhatsApp, Slack…) and known bots aren’t counted. Individual scans are deleted after 25 months.
• Design: dot and background colours, dot and corner shapes, logo; a warning when contrast is too low.
• Security: anyone can report a link, a blocked link shows a warning instead of redirecting, and a short link can’t point to another Scanotte short link. The code also provides for Google Web Risk checks of destinations, active only when a key is configured.
• No account needed to start (creations kept in the browser); an account is needed to subscribe. Team access with Pro (3 people) and Business (5).

Exact prices

Limits

• Static codes are free and unlimited on every plan; they don’t depend on Scanotte.
• After cancelling: whatever fits the free plan keeps working as usual; the rest keeps redirecting read-only for 12 months, then shows “expired”. Picking a plan again brings everything back.
• No trial: the free plan has no end date. Refunds can be requested from the account within 14 days of a payment.
• The free plan’s multi-link page shows a “Made with scanotte” line.
• Scanotte doesn’t host files: a PDF or menu must be online elsewhere, and the code points to its link.
• Wi-Fi, business card, e-mail and text codes are always static (not editable, no statistics).
• No bulk creation from a CSV file, no custom domain, no API, no SEPA payment QR codes, no ticketing.
• Prices in euros, VAT included.
