Link shortener
A long link won’t fit in a bio and nobody can copy it from a poster. A Scanotte short link is short, editable and counts its clicks.
What is a link shortener for?
Turning a long address into a short link that’s easy to paste into an Instagram bio, a text message or an e-mail, or to type from a poster. At Scanotte, the short link also counts clicks and can change destination.
Short links are for where people click; QR codes for where they scan. Both use the same redirect — see the dynamic QR code.
How do I make a short link with Scanotte?
In the app, open link creation, paste your address and give it a name you’ll recognise. You can pick a custom name of 3 to 30 letters, numbers or hyphens, if it’s available.
Scanotte checks the link when you save it and refuses destinations flagged as dangerous.
What do the click statistics show?
The same as for an editable code: clicks per day, total, last 7 days, device, system and approximate country. Previews generated when you paste the link into WhatsApp or Slack aren’t counted, so your numbers aren’t inflated.
For each scan, Scanotte records the date, the type of device, the operating system and the approximate country. It never keeps the IP address and sets no cookie on the people who scan; link previews (WhatsApp, Slack…) aren’t counted.
How many short links, and at what price?
The free plan includes 3 short links; Starter 50 (€6.90 a month, €5.90 billed yearly), Pro 200 (€12.90, or €11 yearly) and Business 1,000 (€39, or €33 yearly).
If you stop paying, nothing dies overnight: whatever fits the free plan keeps working as usual, and the rest keeps redirecting, read-only, for 12 months before showing an “expired” page. Picking a plan again brings everything back.
Is a short link safe for the people who click?
A short link hides its destination, which is why serious services check what they redirect to. Scanotte checks destinations when saved, re-checks them while they’re in use, and anyone can report a link.

Short link or multi-link page?
A short link leads to one destination; a multi-link page shows your name, a line about you and several buttons. For an Instagram bio offering website, bookings and reviews, the page fits better.
Both count clicks, and the page also shows which button was clicked. The free plan includes 3 short links and 1 page.
Frequently asked questions
Do short links expire?
Not while your plan covers them. After cancelling, those beyond the free plan keep redirecting for 12 months before showing “expired”.
Can I use my own domain?
No, Scanotte doesn’t offer custom domains.
Can I get a QR code from a short link?
Yes. On the free plan, the code offered with a short link is static: it goes straight to the destination and won’t follow changes. From Starter, the code follows the short link.
Is there an ad on the redirect?
No, people land straight on your destination.
