QR code for an event

Gig, trade fair, street party, team offsite: a code on the poster or badge leads to the programme, the map or the sign-up. If the schedule changes, you fix it without reprinting.

Fill in the fields to see your QR.

Static QR: free and works forever, but it can't be edited and its scans aren't counted.

Make an editable version with statistics

What should an event QR code lead to?

The page that’s most useful when people scan: before the event, sign-up or tickets; on the day, the programme and map. A multi-link page groups all of that behind one code.

For the venue, add a button to a Google Maps link; for a simple registration, see the Google Form QR code.

Can Scanotte handle ticketing?

No. Scanotte doesn’t sell tickets, create named ticket codes or scan people in at the door. You need a ticketing service for that.

Scanotte helps promote the event: a code on the poster leading to your ticketing page, with statistics showing how many people scanned it.

Why an editable code for an event?

Because events move: a new room, a later start, a fuller programme, next year’s edition. With an editable code, posters already up still lead to the right page.

After the event, point the same code to the photos or next year’s announcement. Static QR codes are free and unlimited. For editable QR codes with statistics: 1 is free, then Starter at €6.90 a month (15 editable QR codes), Pro at €12.90 a month (100) or Business at €39 a month (500). Billed yearly, that’s €5.90, €11 and €33 a month.

What about a private party?

For a birthday, housewarming, baby shower or leaving do, the code is mostly for RSVPs and directions. Minibon offers online invitations with RSVPs whose link you can put in a printed code.

For weddings, it’s all in the wedding QR code.

How do I measure my posters’ impact?

Create one editable code per channel: posters around town, flyers, the printed programme. Each code has its own statistics: scans per day, over the last 7 days, devices and approximate country.

For each scan, Scanotte records the date, the type of device, the operating system and the approximate country. It never keeps the IP address and sets no cookie on the people who scan; link previews (WhatsApp, Slack…) aren’t counted. Before printing: dark dots on a light background, at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) wide, a small logo if any, and a test with two different phones.

What about badges and lanyards?

At a conference, a code on the badge can lead to the speaker’s page, the live schedule or the feedback form. Keep it at least 2 cm wide and away from the lanyard clip.

If the schedule app or form changes between days, an editable code keeps every printed badge pointing to the current version.

Frequently asked questions

Does Scanotte generate tickets with QR codes?

No. It makes codes that lead to pages, not named tickets. Use a ticketing service for that.

Can I change the time after printing?

Not on the poster, but on the page the code opens, yes — and with an editable code you can even change that page.

Will the code still work after the event?

Yes, as long as the destination exists. An editable code can then lead to photos or the next edition.

How many editable codes for a festival?

As many as destinations or channels to track: 15 with Starter, 100 with Pro.
