Instagram QR code
On a shop window, packaging or a card: people scan, your Instagram profile opens and they can follow you. Got more links to share? One page holds them all.
Fill in the fields to see your QR.
Static QR: free and works forever, but it can't be edited and its scans aren't counted.
Make an editable version with statisticsHow do I make a QR code for my Instagram profile?
Copy your profile address — instagram.com followed by your username — and paste it into the generator at the top of the page. The code is ready to download, free and without an account.
Check the link opens your profile from another phone, logged in to Instagram or not.
Why not use Instagram’s built-in QR code?
Instagram offers its own code in the app, which is great for quick sharing. Scanotte adds PNG and SVG files for print, your logo and colours, and scan statistics with an editable code.
Styling is covered in the QR code with a logo.
Where should I display it?
Wherever people might want to follow you: shop window, counter, packaging, loyalty card, market stall, flyer. Say why they should follow (“new drops every Friday”, “behind the scenes at the studio”) rather than a bare “Follow us”.
For windows and posters, read QR codes on posters, flyers and windows. Before printing: dark dots on a light background, at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) wide, a small logo if any, and a test with two different phones.
Static or editable for Instagram?
A static code to your profile is fine if you never change your username. An editable code protects you from a rename, lets you point to a specific post during a campaign, and counts scans.
Static QR codes are free and unlimited. For editable QR codes with statistics: 1 is free, then Starter at €6.90 a month (15 editable QR codes), Pro at €12.90 a month (100) or Business at €39 a month (500). Billed yearly, that’s €5.90, €11 and €33 a month. For other platforms, see YouTube, TikTok and Spotify.
Can I track which posters bring followers?
Not followers directly — that data stays in Instagram — but you can see scans. Give each poster or flyer its own editable code and compare their statistics.
If one location gets far more scans, that’s where to put your next campaign.
