QR code for YouTube, TikTok or Spotify
A demo video on the packaging, a playlist for the party, your channel on a flyer: the code opens the content right in the app.
Fill in the fields to see your QR.
Static QR: free and works forever, but it can't be edited and its scans aren't counted.
Make an editable version with statisticsHow do I make a QR code for a YouTube video?
Under the video, tap “Share”, copy the link and paste it into the generator at the top of the page. The code opens the video in the YouTube app or the browser.
It works the same for a channel, a playlist, a Short or a video at a specific time (the “Start at” option).
What about TikTok or Spotify?
Same steps: “Share”, “Copy link”, then the generator. For TikTok pick an account or a video; for Spotify a track, album, playlist or podcast.
These apps sometimes have their own scannable codes, but those often only work inside their app. A standard QR code is read by any phone camera.
One code for several platforms?
Yes, with a multi-link page: a YouTube button, a TikTok one, a Spotify one, an Instagram one. Everyone picks their platform, and Scanotte counts clicks per button.
It’s the same page as for your Instagram code; its short link works in your bios too.
Why an editable code for a video?
Because you’ll post a better video, a new playlist or a new single. With an editable code, the poster, merch or packaging always points to your latest content.
Static QR codes are free and unlimited. For editable QR codes with statistics: 1 is free, then Starter at €6.90 a month (15 editable QR codes), Pro at €12.90 a month (100) or Business at €39 a month (500). Billed yearly, that’s €5.90, €11 and €33 a month. The principle is explained in the dynamic QR code.
Where would I use it?
An assembly video on a product label, a playlist on wedding tables, your channel on a gig flyer, a podcast episode on a poster. Before printing: dark dots on a light background, at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) wide, a small logo if any, and a test with two different phones.
If you turn long videos into short clips, Minibon also has a tool that makes Shorts from them.
How do I make people want to scan?
Say what they’ll watch or hear, and how long it takes: “The recipe in 60 seconds”, “Our Saturday playlist”. Without a promise, a code blends into a busy poster.
On a product, put the code where the question comes up: next to the assembly instructions for a video, on the drinks menu for a playlist.
Frequently asked questions
Is a YouTube QR code free?
Yes, a static code to any link is free and unlimited.
Does the video autoplay?
It opens in the app or browser; whether it plays straight away depends on the phone and the app.
Can I count views that came from the code?
Scanotte counts scans of an editable code. Views stay in YouTube, TikTok or Spotify’s own analytics.
Does it work if the video is private?
No. An “unlisted” video works with its link; a private one needs an invitation.
